BUSCOT PARK LITTLE THEATRE

Set in the East Pavilion to the side of the House is a little theatre. It is a unique and charming venue. The compact interior and intimate ambience make it ideal for soloists and small groups.

Buscot Park’s theatre dates from the 1930’s. It seats 62 in a raked auditorium with purpose-built armchairs covered in fire-proof velvet. The vaulted ceiling provides excellent acoustics and an audio system is available for the hard of hearing. There are dressing & rest rooms. The proscenium is 4m wide and the stage 3m deep with 1.8m beyond the curtains. There is an orchestra pit below large enough for 20 and a podium can be raised for the audience to see the conductor.

A Steinway “baby grand” piano is kept in the wings. Full stage lighting is available as well as a digital audio-visual display system. We have a license to serve wine and meals in an adjacent building. Parking is available nearby. Special arrangements can be made for clients wishing to visit the house and gardens. Please note, there are no wheelchair facilities in either the house or theatre.
